Trinovante is a three masted schooner with a reputation for having a relaxed and friendly atmosphere onboard. Everyone plays a full role in sailing the ship and there is a strong emphasis on good seamanship skills and learning.

The crew are always a mixed bunch, all ages, from all walks of life and with lots of different reasons for sailing with us.

2009 Tall ships Sailing Holidays

We loved the Arctic North of Norway so much last year Trininovante is sailing back again for part of the summer in 2009. We then sail across to the Scottish Islands and down the Irish Sea, across to Wales and Cornwall before heading for home to the Thames Estuary.
In is effectively a Round Britain Voyage via Norway and the Arctic Circle!

Tall Ship Sailing Holidays with a Difference

Big enough to give you the thrill of handling 50 tons of boat under sail, but small enough for you to be a integral part of the crew.
Small crew groups. You will be sailing with a maximum of 7 other crew plus skipper and mate. Other boats of the same size often take many more sailors. No one has to sleep in the saloon on Trinovante.
Permanent skipper and mate who maintain the ship to a high standard, know their vessel inside out and take a pride in working Trinovante under sail.

Taster Weekends

For those new to sailing or coming back to sailing after a long break, sailing with us is a great learning experience. Each year we run a number of 'sailing taster weekends' in the UK.

Experienced sailors can rest assured that our sails are not just for show. We take pride in handling the boat under sail and we don't turn on the engine unless necessary. Full participation in the sailing is expected and not an optional extra - its definately not a coach trip on a boat!
